Hosts with a passion for hospitality
Hotel “La Marmu” spread over several sites in the Maira Valley
The journey we set out upon together many years ago has led us today to this inn in the beautiful Maira Valley. In the charming village of Marmora you can find us at the Osteria della Croce Bianca, with the historic “La Marmu” hotel attached.
In our Hotel in Valle Maira, we are proud to share our cuisine, rich in authentic Piedmontese and Occitan valley traditions. Short chain, locally sourced and organic products, vegetables grown in the village and wild products such as mushrooms and berries when in season allow us to bring genuine and flavoursome food to your table, prepared with all our experience. Bread, pasta and desserts are naturally made with our own hands.
We have several rooms, beautifully furnished in Alpine style, as well as the ability to host groups in mountain refuge style dormitories, where joy and conviviality abound.
An attractive slice of well-being can be enjoyed at the edge of the woods, where a wood-burning Finnish sauna and a scenic garden will host you at the end of an intense day in the mountains, both in summer and in winter.

The dishes we serve are the result of careful research into the ancient flavours of our territory. Both hotel guests and those not staying with us are very welcome. Barbara has devoted herself with great creativity to the kitchen, ensuring raw ingredients are rigorously local. Milk, butter, eggs, vegetables and fruit, honey, cereals and cheeses come from the villages. Mario’s passion is for bread and grissini, which he bakes in the oven on-site, and fresh pasta, traditionally tajarin and tagliatelle, that Barbara then transforms into tasty and fragrant dishes in the Osteria della Croce Bianca.
Of course the dishes are accompanied by a selection of wines from the Piedmont region and beyond. Indeed, you will find a very respectable wine cellar with which to complement your gastronomic experience.
A splendid hospitality
Italian cuisine in keeping with the Piedmontese tradition typical of the Occitan Valleys.
